The total area of ​​the new park is 7,000 square meters. The park was implemented by applying the seven comprehensive design standards, and includes a bathroom and entrances that are suitable for people with special needs, including the blind. The interior design of the park took into account enhancing safety factors, by providing a number of important factors to ensure the safety and security of children. Al-Muhaidib Park aims to provide an opportunity for people with special needs to integrate into normal life, interact with others, find a recreational place for the family as a whole, and encourage play as a learning tool. In addition, it provides an opportunity for healthy children to get to know their peers with special needs up close, appreciate their problems, and help them face life's obstacles, which helps society get rid of misconceptions about the characteristics and abilities of children with special needs. Regarding the importance of this park to society, Sarah Al-Muhaidib, Operations Manager at Al-Muhaidib Community Service, stated, "At Al-Muhaidib Community Service, we adopt a strategy that revolves around caring for early childhood with all its issues. Our children with disabilities are an integral part of this strategy, our society, and our lives. Therefore, we launched the "We Play Together" initiative, which was built specifically for them. Al-Muhaidib Park is the first project of this initiative, which we hope will be at the level of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to contribute to enhancing the values ​​of coexistence with our children and accepting their characteristics and abilities from a young age." It is noteworthy that “Al-Muhaidib Community Service Foundation” was established in 2014, in fulfillment of Al-Muhaidib Group’s desire to contribute to community development and participate in charitable projects in a way that enhances sustainability and continuity of positive impact. The group’s focus is on educational projects that call for promoting moral values ​​in society.
