A training project has been developed for caregivers in nurseries to detect early language disorders and provide guidance and training to mothers on speech and communication exercises. Speech is one of the most vital skills children need for their overall development, as it directly influences their academic achievements and future opportunities. The program aims to have a positive impact on their lives.
The Faseeh Initiative's Advisory Committee consists of 12 experts from various Saudi universities and Stanford University. They oversee the initiative's activities, which include a Virtual Early Detection and Intervention program Protocol, an awareness program for parents and the community, a training program for nursery staff and childcare centers, and a research program. The research program includes studying the prevalence of language disorders and the associated factors, assessing the needs of families and early childhood service providers, and examining the economic cost of language disorders in Saudi Arabia.
